PURPOSE:To prevent the extension of damage on processing, by providing a circuit which independently requests interruption to a computer section, if the processing does not go to the next data transmission to a peripheral equipment. CONSTITUTION:When dummy data is transmitted from a computer section 1, a timer circuit 7 is triggered with a data strobe pulse and started. If a system is normal, the circuit 7 does not have any concern about the system operation and the data is outputted on a printer 6. If a failure takes place to a data acknowledge pulse output circuit of the printer 6, the character code for the next data can not be requested to the computer section 1. Since an output signal is outputted to a signal line 16 afer a prescribed time, the computer section 1 receives an interruption request signal as if the signal were a signal from the printer 6 and the execution is transferred to a printer controlling program. |
