PURPOSE:To reduce shearing force acting on a vibration isolating member so as to largely enhance the durability of the outer tube in the title by forming the load receiving face of a protrusion on the inner face of the outer tube and causing the load receiving face to substantially agree with a face including both the center line of the outer tube and a line in the radial direction. CONSTITUTION:Each side face of a protrusion 7 serves as a load receiving face 8, which is formed in such a manner that it substantially agrees with a face including the center line of a joint outer tube and a line in the radial direction; i.e. the angle theta defined by the line OA linking the center point O with a point A on the load receiving face 8 and by a tangent (a) at the point A is set ideally 0 degree or less than 20 degrees at most. By setting the angle of the load receiving face 8 in this way, a force F perpendicular to the OA when transmission torque acts on the load face, and a component force Fr perpendicular to the tangent A almost agree with each other and the component force Ft in the tangent direction becomes very small. A large part of force acting on a vibration isolating material 3 therefore consists of compressive force and shearing force scarcely acts thereon. |
