PURPOSE:To prevent an error in sheet quantity setting as much as possible by providing an off-line sorter, equipped with a sheet quantity setting key, with a display device which displays the excessive and deficient quantities of copies and a circuit which disables a copying machine body to perform copying operation. CONSTITUTION:If the set quantity of copies of a copying machine body is greater than that of a sorter owing to an error in setting and too many copies are to be taken, an OR circuit O8 generates a printing disabling signal S6. At the same time, a quantity-over display device 10 is put in operation and an oscillator OSC is also operated. As a result, the display device 10 performs flashing operation. Thus, operator's attention is drawn to prevent an error in setting as much as possible. When the set quantity of copies of the copying machine body is less than that of the sorter and less copies are to be taken, a quantity deficiency display device 9 flashes. |
