PURPOSE:To effectively generates an enhancement pulse output having an abrupt rise by arranging metal electrodes at the upstream side of a laser medium passage in the vicinity of a voiceless discharger to generate an auxiliary pulse spark discharge. CONSTITUTION:A mixture gas is flowed as a laser medium within the interval of a pair of dielectric electrodes 1 in a direction of an arrow 7, a high frequency voltage is applied between the electrodes 1 from a power source 3, and many metal electrodes 11, 13 for producing an auxiliary pulse spark discharge are arranged in an optical axial direction of a laser in the vicinity of the discharger 5 of a laser oscillator for generation the voiceless discharger 5. A high voltage pulse is applied between the electrodes 11 and 13 from a high voltage pulse power source 14 to generate ultraviolet and charged particles at the pulse spark discharger 15, and the laser medium is then excited, thereby obtaining an enhancement pulse output. |
