PURPOSE:To equalize the thermal deformation of a floating ring by a method wherein cylindrical partitioning plates, opposing to the respective floating rings, are mounted at the outside of the floating rings and a plurality of radial partitioning plates are provided at the outside of the cylindrical partitioning plates. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical partitioning plates 12 are provided at the outside of the floating rings 2, 3 through a predetermined gap between the outer peripheries of the floating rings 2, 3. Further, the cylindrical partitioning plates 12 are divided by the radial partitioning plates 13 in accordance with the divided numbers of the floating rings 2, 3 and each of them is provided with an oil supplying port 7 through which oil is supplied from a seal casing 5. This cylindrical partitioning plate 12 is covering totally the outer peripheral surface of the floating rings 2, 3, therefore, this outer peripheral surface will never be cooled directly by seal oil 6 having a low temperature, further, the seal oil 6 will stay between the floating rings 2, 3 and the cylindrical partitioning plate 12 and brings heat insulating effect to the shaft. |
