发明名称 ANTIDAZZLING MIRROR DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve ability in visual recognition and to vary reflectivity continuously and successively according to the quantity of electricity by utilizing the coloring phenomenon of an electrolyte obtained by dissolving an oxidation- reducible organic material in an insoluble solvent. CONSTITUTION:Two transparent glass plates 11 having transparent electrodes 12 and 12' on internal surfaces respectively are bonded together with a frame body 15 interposed, and in this frame body 15, an electrolyte 14 obtained by dissolving an electrochemically oxidation-reducible organic material, shown by formula[I](where R is a chain alkyl group having 4-9 carbon atoms and X<-> is a negative ion), in an insoluble solvent (e.g. acetonitrile) is sealed; and a reflective film is formed in the same body with the electrode 12' on the rear side for incident light A, thus constituting a reflecting mirror 1. Then, lead wires 17 are connected to the electrodes 12 and 12', and then connected to the driving circuit composed of a switch mechanism 21 and a power source 22. The switch mechanism 21 is turned on to connect the power source 22 to the electrodes 12 and 12', which allows the reducing reaction of the electrolyte 14 is therefore reduced to decrease the reflectivity of the mirror 1.
