PURPOSE:To shorten the axial dimension and reduce the axial space thereof by a method wherein the consisting elements are equalized and distributed in three- dimensional arrangement. CONSTITUTION:The automatic speed changer is constituted with a change gear of four steps of forward and one step of backward consisting of first and second planetary gear speed changing units 20, 40 and is provided with three couples of shafts 1:3, 6:7, 10A:10B arranged in parallel. Th first palnetary gear speed changing unit 20 is provided with first planetary gear set 30 arranged above the first couple of the shafts 1, 3 while the second planetary gear speed changing unit 40 is provided with the second planetary gear set 50 aranged above the second couple of the shafts 6, 7. A reduction gear unit 61 and a differential gear unit 62 are provided above the third couple of the shafts 10A, 10B which are output shafts. |
