PURPOSE:To improve the operation responsive property of the titled device by a method wherein a mechanism adopted to lock a piston by bringing a latch pawl of a small cylinder provided projectionally at right angles to a hook of the piston in the hydraulic cylinder, into enagagement with the hook, the oil pressures in both of the hydraulic cylinder and the small cylinder are made to communicate with each other. CONSTITUTION:The hook 4 for locking the piston 2 is so formed that it projects into a concave section 6 of a cylinder cover 5. Further, the small cylinder 8 and the latch pawl 9 provided in the former are slidably inserted into a slide hole 7 in the cylinder cover 5 and the small cylinder 8 and the interior 20 of the hydraulic cylinder are made to communicate with each other through a small gap 19 formed among a small hole 18, the small cylinder 8, the latch pawl 9 and the slide hole 7. Thus, with the above structure, when the piston 2 shifts to a position at which it is locked, the oil pressure is exherted in the engaging direction of the latch pawl 9 so that the operation responsive property of the piston locking device is improved. |
