A valve insert for a sanitary shut-off valve or flow control valve, which can be screwed into a valve housing by means of an external thread. Provided on the external thread is a screw ring by means of which a ring seal which seals the thread can be compressed from above. The screw ring has an external circumferential groove into which a circumferential projection in the interior of a cap which curves over the top part of the valve insert engages, on which cap the rotating handle is arranged. In consequence, the rotating handle is at a constant distance from the top of the valve housing even when the valve insert is screwed in at different depths. |
