<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the bottom surface of the storage tank from being damaged at the start of filling of liquid into the tank by a method wherein baffle plates are provided near the bottom surface of the storage tank main body just under the filling port of a liquid filling pipe. CONSTITUTION:One end of the liquid filling pipe 2, the other end of which is connected to liquid source, is open within the storage tank main body 1 by piercing its roof 1a. A support 5, to which the upper ends of hanging bolts 4 comprising a hanging member are fitted and supported with bolts and nuts 6, is tightly fixed onto the outer periphery of the liquid filling pipe 2 at its filling port. Furthermore, the baffle plates 3 are fitted and supported through retaining seats 7 of the hanging bolts with nuts 8 to the lower end of the respective hanging bolts 4. The two baffle plates 3 are hung with a vertical spacing held by spacers 9 and made of perforated plates so arranged that the holes in one plate face in staggered manner with those in the other plate.</p> |
