PURPOSE:To allow the recording of signals of 2 channels on a single track, by recording the signal with the 2nd magnetic head having a different inclination of the head gap on a single track of a magnetic tape on which another signal is recorded with the 1st magnetic head and then carrying out the reproduction with each reproducing head. CONSTITUTION:The signal applied to an input terminal 1 is amplified by a recording circuit 2 and at the same time superposed with a high frequency bias to be recorded on a magnetic tape 5 travelling toward an arrow A via a contact R by a recording/reproducing head 4. In the reproduction mode, the signal reproduced by the head 4 is supplied to a loudspeaker 7 via a contact P and an amplifier 6. Then the output of a modulator 9 received the modulation of frequency with th output of a microphone 8 is recorded by a recording/reproducing head 12 having a head gap tilted 45 deg. to the tape travelling direction via a sound recording circuit 10 having a reduced high frequency bias level and a contact R. The reproduction is carried out via the head 12, the contact P, a demodulator 13, an amplifier 14 and an earphone 15. Thus the recording is possible for two channels on a single track. |
