<p>An elongated trailer frame is provided for receiving and supporting round bales thereon with the bales extending transversely of the frame, The frame includes wheeled running gear and a conveyor structure for simultaneously shifting all bales supported from the frame longitudinally thereof. Also, a forwardly projecting elongated tongue is provided for coupling behind a baler and the tongue is freely extendible and retractable between predetermined retracted and extended positions. The forward end of the frame is unobstructed for substantially horizontally rearwardly receiving a round bale thereon from a point closely adjacent and forward of the forward end of the frame when the tongue is retracted and the tongue is extendible an amount sufficient to displace the forward end of the frame rearward of the tongue forward end to prevent interference between the forward end of the frame and widely spaced apart rear portions of a baler behind which the trailer is being towed. Also, the trailer includes one-way brake structure carried by the trailer and operative to brake the trailer against rearward movement over the ground, but allowing forward movement of the trailer.</p> |
