The present invention relates to clamping rings of the type consisting of a metal band arranged in a sling with a wedge-shaped box 8 at one end thereof and a free, second end part 2 inserted through an opening in the box, whereby the height of the box decreases in the direction towards said opening, and a wedge arranged in the box provides locking in the box of said second end part 2. According to the invention, the box 8 and the wedge 17 are manufactured in one piece by punching from a metal band or plate, in the form of two isosceles parallel trapeziums 25, 26, Fig. 4 with their longest base-lines facing towards each other and connected by means of a metal bridge 27 and also bending together into box 8 and wedge 17, respectively, with the metal bridge formed and functioning as a spring biasing the wedge towards the locking position. <IMAGE> |
