PURPOSE:To enable reliable ingnition by one operation regardless of a height of protrusion of a wick, by providing a groove of a specific form at a location com fronting with an ignition heater of the wick, in a title combustor having the wick which slides up and down freely between an internal and an external cylinders. CONSTITUTION:The tip of a wick is protruded into a combustion cylinder 5 at the time of combustion, in a liquid fuel combustor which is provided with the combustion cylinder 5 at the upper part of the internal and the external cylinders 3 and 4, whose cylindrical form wick 1 supported wick metal fittings 2 is moved vertically between the internal wick cylinder 3 and the external wick cylinder 4. An ignition heater 6 is inserted in the vicinity of the wick 1 through an ignition access hole 8a and the wick 1 is ignited through electrifiction to an igniter body coil 6a when an ignition shutter 8 is opened by pushing operation of an ignition button 7. In this instance, and ignition groove 1a whose width is made smaller than full width of the coil 6a is provided at a location confronting with the ignition heater 6 at the tip of the wick 1, and the bottom of the groove 1a is notched in the menner that it becomes lower than the coil 6a when the wick 1 is lifted to the top. |
