PURPOSE:To exactly execute a measurement, winding a scale tape quickly and uniformly, by winding the scale tape round a detour roller, and making the tape have an excess length part. CONSTITUTION:A level gauge is constituted so as to display height of a liquid level, winding a scale tape 4, by stretching the scale tape 4 between left and right drums 2, 3 so as to be freely windable, and turning these left and right drums 2, 3 so as to be interlocked with an up-and-down movement of a float 9. In this case, an excess length part 4' is provided on the scale tape 4 by winding an intermediate part betwen left and right winding parts 4a, 4b of said scale tape 4, round a detour roller 14, and also said detour roller 14 is supported so as to be freely movable in the direction for increasing or decreasing the excess length part 4', energizing the scale tape 4 in the straining direction. In this way, a measurement can be executed exactly, quickening uniform winding of the scale tape. |
