摘要 PURPOSE:To perform a continuous measurement of silica in water, by mixing a reagent containing mixed solution of an acid and ammonium molybdate, Na2SO3 or NaHSO3 etc. with sample water in a sampling tube and measuring its coloring by converting the quantity of transmitted light from a light emission diode photoelectrically. CONSTITUTION:Water to be inspected of a fixed flow rate is taken out from a main piping 1 to a sampling pipe 2 and a mixed reagentIof ammonium molybdate with sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid and a reagent II composed of either mixed solution of Na2SO3 or Na2SO3 and NaHSO3 with 1-amino-2- naphthol-4-sulfonic acid or a Na2SO3 solution, are injected from respective storage tanks 8, 8' on the way to send to a reaction pipe 3 and these are reacted in the pipe 3. Coloring of molybdate blue produced by the reaction of the sample with silica, is detected by a galvanometer 14 by converting transmitted quantity of light from a light emission diode 11 into an electric current by a photoelectric conversion element 12 and Si in the sample is measured accurately in a short time by a preliminarily prepared calibration curve and a continuous analysis is made automatically.
