The X-ray cabinet has a chamber enclosed by radiation-screening walls. In the cabinet, is an X-ray tube whose radiation penetrates the inserted article, and causes a picture of it and its contents to be produced on a fluorescent screen on one wall of the chamber. - The object to be examined is inserted to take up a specific position through a closable hatch. This position comprises a rotatable support surface so located that the X-rays pass over it, making possible examinations of the object on all sides. The support surface comprises a disc rotatable by an external mechanism and has a handling arrangement enabling the object to be tipped or turned over. (Provisional Basic advised week 84/32)(0/2) |
