PURPOSE:To attain a recording in correct order, without missing and duplication when jam takes place in a printer, by outputting a special print based on the detection of occurrence of jam. CONSTITUTION:An information output device using a printer is provided with a host computer 601, and interface 602, 1st and 2nd page storage devices 603 and 604, a storage device 605 and the 1st and 2nd controllers 606 and 607 controlling the devices 603 and 604. When the information of the device 604 is outputted with the control of the device 607, the device 606 makes a processing to fetch the data from a computer 601 to the device 603. During the processing of control, when the generation of jam of a printer is detected at the device 607, it is informed to the computer 601 from the device 607 via a control port 608. After the jam is restored, an output such as black makes, network points or characters wich indicates the sign of the production of jam, is produced, an instruction of special print is given to the devices 606 and 607 for the recording in correct order. |
