PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a cylinder head and a device for guiding a valve moving mechanism, by forming a valve lifter guide and a valve guide integrally with each other and fitting them in a valve guide securing hole. CONSTITUTION:A valve lifter guide 15 is provided so that it is continuous to the top of a valve guide 16. The valve lifter guide 15 has a cylindrical inside surface with which the peripheral surface of a valve lifter 12 is slidably in contact. Since the valve lifter guide 15 is formed separately from a cylinder head 19, its section corresponding to the valve lifter guide has no jut and no undercut part and requires no special core for casting. Therefore, fins as made in casing with a core are not produced and fin-removing work is not needed. |
