PURPOSE:To prevent floating of the ball valve of a fuel injection valve which drives it with solenoidal pulse, due to fuel flow in order to stabilize a quantity of injected fuel by making close and slidable contact of the ball valve and a rod member inside a guide cylinder and forming a notch for fuel flow and a fuel inlet passage. CONSTITUTION:A stroke where a plunger 4 is attracted towards a fixed core 22 by excitement of a coil 1 to open a ball valve 6 and a stroke where in the absence of the excitement, the ball valve 6 is pressed down by a spring 14 are reciprocated. The ball valve 6 itself, making close and slidable contact with the internal face 81 of a guide cylinder 8, may be prevented from movement on a plane at a right angle with the operating direction. Similarly, the side face of a flange 9 of a rod member 5 makes slidable contact with the internal face 81 so that the center line of the rod 5 is held on that of the guide cylinder 8. A notch 11 is formed in the side face of the flange 9 to have fuel from an inlet 15 flow into the guide cylinder 8 there-through, so that sufficient lubricity at slidable contact of both the side face of the flange 9 and the ball valve 6 on the internal face 81 of the guide cylinder 8 may improve durability. |
