PURPOSE:To form a resin-covered material of which end surfaces are completely covered, by joining core materials, which are continuously supplied, through end surface members of the same synthetic resin as that for covering the core material, covering the joined core material with the synthetic resin, and severing the joined sections. CONSTITUTION:H-shaped end surface members 4 having recesses 5 in the opposite sides are used which are made of the same synthetic resin as (or a similar synthetic resin to) that for covering. The core materials (elongated metal sheets) 1 are joined linearly in a great number by fitting the ends into the recesses 5 of the end surface members 4. Then the joined core materials are continuously supplied to an extrusion mold 2 to be covered with the synthetic resin 3, and after the hardening of the resin 3, each of the intermediate walls 7 of the end surface members 4 is severed by a cutter into the aimed synthetic resin-covered materials. |
