<p>PURPOSE:To control the capacity of a turbine, reduce the number of its parts and lenghen its lifetime, by providing a bar which is optionally slid or turned so that it is moved into or out of the scroll tongue of the turbine housing. CONSTITUTION:The protrusion 17 of a bar 16 is moved into or out of the scroll tongue 12 of a turbine housing 11. The bar 16 is slid depending on the revolution speed or the like of an engine to control the flow rate of the turbine. According to this constitution, a capacity alternation mechanism is simplified and is hardly affected by exhaust heat so that the lifetime of the mechanism is lengthened.</p> |
