PURPOSE:To reduce the intake pressure loss and increase the efficiency of a compressor by varying the direction of an intake port for inner surface of a cylinder without varying the position of the opening of the intake port and deforming the intake port to an elliptical form to increase the area of the opening. CONSTITUTION:The direcrion of an intake port 115 for the inner surface of a cylinder 106 is varied as shown int the figure without varying the position of the opening of the intake port 115 on the inner surface of the cylinder 106. Therefore, the shape of the intake port 115 on the inner surface of the cylinder 106 is changed to an elliptical form from its original circular form, and the area of the intake port 115 is increased. As the intake port 115 is continuous to the sliding groove on a partitioning plate 13, the perfect closing of the intake port 115 by a rotor 8 can be prevented. As a result, the intake pressure loss can be reduced, and the efficiency of the compressor can be improved. |
