The hydraulic pump or motor has a circular rotor (6) in a stator (1) whose bore is made up of two minor, diametrically opposed circular sections (2) and two major circular sections (3). The major sections are set at ninety degrees to the minor sections and are connected by tangential and circular sections (4,5). The rotor has a number of radial slots (7) housing the sliding vanes (8) which are maintained in contact with the stator by the cam. Fluid passes from the inlets (14) to the outlets (15) or vice-versa. The pump has low losses due to the fact that no differential pressure exists across the vane other than when they pass through the active section of the revolution of the rotor.
|
