PURPOSE:To prevent a drop of recording and reproducing sensitivity so that recording can be executed with high density, even in case of using as a head for a thick magnetic recording medium like a hard disk, by forming a closed magnetic path in one surface side of the magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:On a slider 10 consisting of a magnetic material, parallel projecting parts 10a, 10b and 10c are formed. On the upper surface of a projecting part 13 formed on the back end part of the projecting part 10b, a nonmagnetic material 14 is fixed. The upper part of a main magnetic pole 15 is pinch-held by nonmagnetic materials 14, 14', and also other part of the main magnetic pole 15 is pinch-held by the projecting part 13 and a magnetic block 16. A magnetic recording medium 18 consists of a double layer structure which has formed a vertical anisotropic magnetic film 20 on one surface of a high magnetic permeability magnetic layer 19. The recording medium 18 is vertically magnetized by a magnetic flux (1-dot chain line) by a signal current 6 of a winding 17. |
