The profile has two outer walls and webs, connecting these, and end walls, which are lengthened to form webs which project beyond the outer walls and between which the outer walls are covered by insulating layers. The insulating layers effect improved thermal and acoustic insulation of an interior area shut off by the roller blind and form a protection for the profile itself, as a result of which its service life is considerably extended.
