PURPOSE:To obtain a diaphragm for loudspeaker having a high specific elastic modulus and a high internal loss, by using the carbon fiber having a flat section for a reinforcing material. CONSTITUTION:The thermoplastic resin, the thermosetting resin, the wood pulp or the thermoplastic synthetic pulp is used to the base material. The carbon fiber having a flat section is added to the base material as a reinforcing material. This carbon fiber has two physical properties, i.e., a high specific elastic modulus of the carbon fiber itself and a high internal loss of a flake. Thus this speaker diaphragm can satisfy both the specific elastic modulus and the internal loss. In order to obtain a high internal loss in the carbon fiber having a flat section for a reinforcing material, at least a >=3 ratio is required between the long and short axes of the diaphragm. |
