<p>The device for varying the braking pressure according to the vehicle load, consists of a housing (12), connected to the braking system, with a compression spring (26) which exerts a pre-load on the brake fluid through the rod (22) and piston (18). The force is reduced by the action of a tension spring (42) which applies a tipping moment to a second rod (40) which applies an axial force through the socket (36) which grips the head of the first rod (22). The other end of the tension spring is fixed to the vehicle chassis in such a way that its tension decreases with increasing vehicle load.</p> |
