<p>Two small electret microphones (2) are used, one being positioned on each of the arms of a pair of spectacles. A battery (3) may be incorporated in each of the arms in order to provide power to the microphone, along with a switch (4) at the end of the arm. A flexible cable (6) connects the two microphones to a connection block, from which a single cable carries the signal on. The arrangement provides for a good stereo signal, with minimum disturbance in siting the microphones. The microphone dia. does not exceed 5mm. The microphone is situated within 5mm radius of the intersection of two perpendicular axes. The vertical axis traverses forward part of the root of the ear's helix, and the horizontal axis corresponds to the imaginary line linking the helix to the skull.</p> |
