PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of the coefficient of utilization of a winding as a field winding which is easy to manufacture and has high damping effect by a method wherein double-layer winding coils are accommodated in equally arranged grooves and the coils are connected in series to form winding groups with specific phase difference and the neutral point side is connected so that the whole may form star quad type. CONSTITUTION:A field winding is made as a turtle shell winding used a square sectional wire or as a random coil used a round sectional insulating wire and is accommodated as a doulbe-layer wave winding or lap winding on grooves equally provided at the external circumference of an iron core. These are mutually connected in series to form three widing groups a-c having the phase difference of an electrical angle of 120 deg. and a neutral point side is connected so that the whole may form star quad type and the output sides of the winding groups b, c are connected for short-circuit. The connection point is used as one terminal of a field winding 3 and the output side of the winding group a as the other terminal. In this way, sufficient damping effect can be obtained and the field winding increased the coefficient of utilization of winding can be obtained. |
