PURPOSE:To obtain a backing strip material for welding which is thin and excellent in its heat resistance and flexibility, by applying a heat resistance coating material containing metallic powder of Mg, Al, etc., or refractories of Al2O3, MgO, TiO2, SiC, SiN, etc., to carbon fiber cloth. CONSTITUTION:On carbon fiber cloth which is thin and has heat resistance and strong toughness, a heat resistance coating material containing metallic powder of Mg, Al, etc., or refractories of Al2O3, MgO, ZrO2.2SiO2, TiO2, SiC, SiN, etc. is applied. In this way, it is possible to obtain a backing strip material for welding, having heat resistance and flexibility, whose thickness is about 1/10- 30 comparing with a conventional one. |
