PURPOSE:To obtain the desired frequency characteristics, by optionally setting a reference frequency for adjusting a recording equalizer, when automatically adjusting a recording bias and an equalizer by a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:When a changeover switch 3 is switched to an AUTO position, a microcomputer 1 is set to a regular autotuning operation state, applies a prescribed control signal to a reference signal oscillator 2 through a decoder 4, outputs a reference signal of 1kHz, and sets a recording bias quantity automatically. IN that case, the equalizing characteristics are set by outputting a reference signal of 10kHz or 12kHz in accordance with a kind of a tape. Subsequently, when the changeover switch 3 is switched to a position of 10kHz, a control data showing this position is inputted to the microcomputer through an encoder 5, and autotuning of an equalizer is executed irrespective of a kind of a tape. |
