The tensioning wire dispenser mechanism assembled on a rigid block (1) which moves on lateral bearings (12). Wire is fed from a supply reel (5) and guide pulleys (2) to the tensioning arm (13). The wire is dispensed to the connection point on the circuit board (20) through a capillary tube (4). The wire tension is controlled by the movement of two jaws one of which is able to rotate with respect to the other. A variable current supply (15) activates an electromagnet (13) which generates movement of the joins against the action of a return spring. A second electromagnet (14) causes a rotation of a lever (16) which is integral with the frame holding the tensioning electromagnet. When the wire breaks the resulting rotary movement of the tensioning electromagnet causes the breaking of an externally connected circuit (21) through a pair of contacts (6). The electrical signal so generated causes the supply to the second electromagnet to be broken and its armature returns to its normal rest position under the action of its return spring (18).
