HEAT SENSING CONTROL MEANS

The thermostatically controlled flow control valve for central heating systems, provides accurate zone temp. control. The flow from inlet(1) to outlet(2) takes place over a poppet(8) that has an actuating rod(14) extending into a control stage housing(12). An expansion plug(20a) filled with a material of high thermal conductivity is used to cause displacement of the poppet.. A thermistor(22) with a positive coefficient is used to provide a heating effect for the plug that is proportional to the required temperature.
