High tension current distributor for IC engine ignition - has lead connectors lying in plane perpendicular to rotor axis and oriented towards one side of distributor cap

The high tension current distributor has, firstly, a stator carrying connectors, one accepting incoming high tension current while the others carry outgoing current, and secondly a rotor driven by the engine and successively connecting the high tension supply to each outgoing terminal. Each connector has an internal stud (12b-15b) cooperating with the rotor and an external stud (12a-15a) connecting to the high tension distribution leads, the internal and external studs. The axes of the external studs are in the same plane, and lie perpendicular to the rotor axis. The connectors to each of the studs are identical and the axes of the external studs are arranged so the inner group (12,13) are parallel and the outer two (14,15) are at an angle corresponding to the angle between the internal studs (90 or 60 degrees).
