<p>The method consists in collecting and storing energy from non-polluting renewable sources either simultaneously or in isolation when one or other source is not available. The collecting and storage units are suitable for mounting individually or in combination to meet widely disparate requirements. The wind turbine is coupled to an automatic reduction gear whose output corresponds to the max. obtainable at any wind speed, and drives a DC or AC generator. A cylindro-parabolic mirror focuses solar radiation on to a high-pressure metallic tube through which gas passes from a compressor to a gas turbine and heat store. The gas turbine drives another reduction gear through an electromagnetic clutch, hydraulic coupler or torque converter.</p> |
