PURPOSE:To improve the ability to clean the whole surface of a lens without impairing the lighting, by a cleaning solution jetting type cleaning apparatus wherein the jet direction of a single nozzle whose jet angle is reduced is moved along a prescribed locus. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning solution in a tank 11 is jetted within a small jet angle from the jet nozzles 1a, 1b by a pump 8. In this case, the nozzles 1a, 1b are moved in a precession movement manner by scanning apparatuses 2a, 2b. As a result, the cleaning solution proceeds on the cone, and strikes on the surface of the projecting lens 4 to draw circles on it so that the surface of the lens 4 is cleaned. At this time, since the jet angle of the cleaning solution is small, the striking force is large, and the cleaning ability is increased, and since the area of the lens surface 4 covered by the cleaning solution is small, the lowering of the quantity of the lighting can be lessened. Accordingly, even during driving, the cleaning of the lens can be effectively carried out safely. |
