Range-field charge detonator - uses optical distance measuring with suppression of interference caused by bright-light source

The detonator has an optical distance measuring device (S,E) using a triangulation method, the measured distances being fed to an evaluation device (AW) controlling detonation. The distance measuring device (S,E) includes suppression of interference caused by the sun or a fire. The evaluation device (AW) uses a logarithmic compression stage (6), a difference stage (7) and a trigger circuit (8) with a given threshold. Pref. the trigger circuit (8) only responds when the gradient of the reflected measuring signal exceeds a given value.
