The food processor consists of a basic appliance (1) of a commercially available mixer or chopper. A bowl holder (2) and a stirring arm (3) are fitted from above onto said basic appliance (1). The bowl holder (2) holds a stirring bowl (7). This design results in a closed power circuit from the stirring arm (3) via, for example, a kneading hook (6), in the stirring bowl (7) and the bowl holder (2) back to the stirring arm. The basic appliance is thus not subjected to forces. <IMAGE>
