<p>The appts. to cut across web materials, partic. fabric piecegoods, has a rotating cutting blade (8) which moves automatically across the web through a detachable belt (10),a to and fro. In another mode, the blade (8) is moved manually across the web and, at the same time, in the direction of material travel. Pref. the cutting station has a slide (11), running across the fabric on guide rails (13), to be moved to and fro by the belt (10). The rotating cutting blade (8), fixed to the slide (11), cuts the material in both directions of movement. The cutting blade (8) with its drive motor (18) is held in a special blade slide (17) which can be moved by hand along a guide rail (16) fixed to the main slide (11), across the fabric line while the slide (11) is moved at the same time across the fabric. An operating platform is between the fabric entry and the cutting station, which can be moved by rollers under the fabric to a positioning roller. The balde slide (17) is moved by rods (9, 14) along the fabric line, along its guide rail (16), where one rod section (9) is linked to the slide (11) at its upper end, and its lower end is fitted with a hand knob (15). The transport nipper is powered by a continuous motor-driven belt which also powers the positioning roller. The transport nipper is a carrier plate with upper and lower beams, where the upper beam is rigidly fixed to the carrier plate and the lower beam is secured to it by a moving mounting.</p> |
