PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a wire dot printer head by the adoption of a wire for printing image of which one end is fixed to one polar surface of a floatable permanent magnet and an iron core with an exciting coil having two poles which are arranged opposingly to each other so that the two poles of the permanent magnet are held pinched between them. CONSTITUTION:The non printing end of a wire for printing image 3 is vertically fixed to S polar surface of a permanent magnet 4. The wire 3 is caused to pass through a piercing hole formed in one pole of an iron core 1 so that it can be moved for printing. A nonmagnetic separating member is adhered to the bored polar surface. When the iron core is magnetized and the pole opposing to N pole of the permanent magnet is magnetized to N pole and the pole to which separating member 5 is adhered is magnetized to S pole, repelling force acts between opposing poles respectively, but the distance between N-N pole is shorter than that of S-S poles, therefore the permanent magnet 4 is driven in the direction of S pole and the wire 3 prints a dot. |
