PURPOSE:To enable rapid ice making and rapid refrigeration and effectively use the inside volume and cold air by dividing the shelf area into a plurality of sections so that a desired section confronts a discharge port by the rotation of shelf. CONSTITUTION:On a shelf 26 above a partition 9, a plurality of ice trays 50, 51 or a plurality of containers 52, 53 for rapid refrigeration are placed. When it is desired to make ice rapidly, the ice tray 50, to which water is supplied, is placed on the shelf 26. Then, the shelf 26 is rotated so that the ice tray 50 comes to just the front of a cold air discharge port 42. Thus, cold air from the cold air discharge port 42 is blown to the ice tray 50 in a concentrated manner, thereby the water in the ice tray 50 turns to ice rapidly. When it is desired to refrigerate food rapidly, the food is put into, for example, a container 52, and the shelf is rotated clockwise so that the container 52 comes to just the front of the cold air discharging port 42. Thus, large amount of cold air is blown to the container 52, thereby the food being refrigerated rapidly. These operations can be performed merely by rotating the shelf; therefore, the operation is simple and the volume in the refrigerator and cold air can be effectively used. |
