<p>The invention relates to an apparatus for granulating solids, in particular old tyres. The apparatus according to the invention comprises a charging duct, two cooling tunnels, arranged one behind the other and connected to each other by an intermediate duct, a discharging duct and a size-reducing machine, which together form a self-contained unit. The cooling of the solids to be granulated is performed with the aid of a coolant, which is fed not only into the cooling tunnel but also into the charging duct and the size-reducing machine. The advantages attained with the invention are essentially that, due to the design according to the invention, better cooling of the solids to be granulated than in the case of known apparatuses is achieved and higher production is attained. <IMAGE></p> |
