The invention relates to pneumatic vehicle tyres with a profile tread, the profile elements of which tyres have two wave-shaped fine indents which extend transversely with respect to the circumferential direction of the tyre, are essentially parallel to one another and open, with ends which terminate in an elongated fashion, into the grooves which bound the profile elements. In order to suppress undesired noises and to increase the durability of the tyre, it is proposed here to arrange the ends of the fine indents which terminate in an elongated fashion in such a way that they rise in opposite directions obliquely with respect to the circumferential direction of the tyre, specifically in such a way that the rise angle is approximately 50 to 60 DEG . If three wave-shaped fine indents are provided here, the end of the centrally arranged fine indent is arranged in such a way that it extends transversely with respect to the circumferential direction of the tyre.
