PURPOSE:To enhance the operating efficiency of a sheathing sheet piles laying work by concurrently performing the excavation of a trench and the embedding of the sheathing sheet piles by a method in which a screw conveyer and two rows of plural oil-pressure cylinder devices are driven for excavation while using as reaction bodies soil and sand to embed sheet piles. CONSTITUTION:A sheet pile embedding excavator is set in a starting trench, soil and sand are charged into the rear groove of a partition case 5, an oil- pressure cylinder 7 is operated, and the soil and sand are consolidated by a cylinder case 12 until the rear end of the partition case 5 to form a reaction body. Thereafter, sheet piles are inserted into between cylinder rows 11, a screw conveyer 10 is turned and at the same time the oil-pressure cylider 7 is operated, and the excavator is advanced while providing a reaction to the case 12. A sheet pile delivery projection 22 sends the sheet pile from the bottom plate 16 into the trench, and then the case 12 is advanced to the front end of the cylinder 7. Then, soil and sand are charged into the trenches on both sides of the sheet pile and consolidated, and thereby the sheet pile is exactly embedded. |
