PURPOSE:To facilitate fitting a support member to roof rails, by a method wherein a roof rail is provided with a recess, an engaging cut-and-raised member bent to the vehicle interior side is provided on a wall of the recess, and a support member for supporting a ceiling sheet is engaged with the cut-and-raised member. CONSTITUTION:The roof rail 3 is provided with a recess 12, and the cut-and- raised member 13 bent to the vehicle interior side is provided vertically at the center of a wall of the recess 12. The support member 11 for the ceiling sheet is made of a hollow pipe provided with a slit 11a, and the slit 11a at an end of the member 11 is engaged with the cut-and-raised member 13 of the rail 3, whereby the member 11 can be easily fitted to the rail 3. |
