<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a piston from moving in the axial direction of an air clutch during its operation, by providing at least three elastic plates extendng in the circumferential direction of an air clutch and located at intervals, to couple the piston to a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Four elastic plates 50 are provided in a pressurizing chamber 5 so that the plates extend almost in the circumferential direction of a clutch and are located at equal intervals in the circumferential direction. One end of each elastic plate 50 is secured on the end wall 21 of a cylinder and the other end is secured on the end wall 27 of a piston 26. When a radial forces F acts to the piston 26 due to the imbalance among the centrifugal forces acting to the respective parts of the piston, a pair of plates 50F extending in the direction of the force F prevent the radial motion of the piston. When another force (f) perpendicular to said force F acts, another pair of plates 50f prevent the motion of the piston 26.</p> |
