PURPOSE:To reduce remarkably the loss of the steam pressure for suppressing the occurrence of the back flow phenomenon of steam by using a system in which a cooling water pipe bundle is divided into plural groups before and behind with respect to the flow of steam, and the cooling water flowing in one pipe group is directed to the other pipe group in order. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water is flowed from an inlet seat 16 into the left- handed chamber of a front water chamber 18 whose inside is divided into two by a partition plate 17 and then directed through the left-handed pipe bundle 13 into a rear water chamber 19. The cooling water coming from the rear water chamber 19 is flowed through the right-handed pipe bundle 14 back to the right- handed chamber of the front water chamber 18 and then discharged from an outlet seat 20 to the outside of the condenser. Thus, steam is first heat-exchanged with low-temperature cooling water in the left-hand pipe bundle 13 and then heat-exchanged with high-temperature cooling water in the right-hand pipe bundle. |
