A device for clamping the direct component of a baseband signal comprises a sample-and-hold device (ECHBLO) and a ramp generator (EGENRA) for emitting a correction signal (COR) intended for an adder (AD) located between the input E and the output S. The time constant of the sample-and-hold device is substantially equal to the duration of the sampling window. The ramp generator has a large impedance so that the correction is progressive along a line and, in any event, deliberately incomplete.
