摘要

Two projectors (30A) and (30B) illuminate different parts of the rear surface of a large curved translucent screen (1) incorporating a diffuser (1A). The invention deals with a problem encountered by an observer displaced e.g. at (2A) from the centre of curvature of the screen (1). Such an observer would normally see point (1E) on the screen as being brighter than point (1F) since the former is in line with the projector (30B) whilst the point (1F) is not. This problem is solved by a transparent layer (1B) machined with grooves (1G, 1H) so as to refract light from the diffuser (1A) towards the centre of curvature.
